The Great Escape
Yes, that's also the name of my travel page on my website, stevelroberts.com I've started this substack to document my journey with Crypto. I'm a complete novice, a little knowledge is dangerous.
Beginnings are hard, but just dive on in and have a go!
1. Why this, why now?
I want to document my Crypto journey, hope by sharing my journey and experiences others can shortcut their own learning curve, I’m a complete novice with just the very basic understanding, so hopefully this will be a journey from ground zero.
2. What kind of community am I looking to build here?
I’m not just starting a newsletter, I’m starting a community. I’m inviting people to subscribe to my thinking. Most importantly, I want people to share their knowledge, concerns, their tips and stuff ups too, together hopefully we can work this stuff out and make some profits and income.
3. Let’s Be specific
Readers love clarity. So I want to be clear what, as a reader, you should expect: how often will I be posting? I’m not sure, but each time I make a move regarding crypto, I’m going to document it and post it. Can you expect certain posts on specific days? I’m not sure on that either, while my journey is new, I am pretty sure there will be some activity almost every day, and as I get my head around things, it will probably slow up to an event based post, probably 3 times a week. What will the free subscribers get? I’ll be working on that, need to balance it. What does a paid subscription buy you? The whole kit and caboodle, probably a load of drivel initially, but hopefully it will morph into a view into my personal portfolio, any early ‘hints’ I can glean from sources, and no doubt a truckload of bad moves… so YOU can avoid them!
4. Use an image they advise…. so….
A picture will look nicer when you share the post on your social media, and it will give colour to your archive as you build it, This says BEER in Nepali… well it actually says Barasinghe which is a very very tasty craft style beer, I like it.
“Subscribe” buttons will make it easy for new readers to subscribe to your newsletter with one click…
5. Ignore my advice, but use it to work out what not to do!
There is no one true way to go about building a crypto portfolio. This is my playground, join in, experiment with me. Whatever you do, only invest whatever you can afford to lose, I’m certainly not a financial genius or guru, but I am honest, so please subscribe. Have some laughs at my disasters and learning experiences.
